Revamping your backyard for the summer

“I almost wish we were butterflies and liv'd but three summer days - three such days with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain.” – John Keats

Summer brings to mind a blue summer sky with cotton candy clouds, a pitcher of freshly brewed ice tea, a clear, twinkly night sky and memories of all the fun you can fit into a day. It’s not officially summer till you forget what day of the week it is and we are at that glorious stage in our year right now. To commemorate, we’ve been crossing plenty of things of our summer bucket list. We’ve also scoured the internet for backyard activities for our potential summer parties. The kids are going to absolutely LOVE these.

A giant slip and slide

All you need is a giant tarp, a slide, a hose and some water. Et Voila! If there were adult sized slides for the backyard you can guarantee I would be in on the fun in the blink of an eye.

A game of kick croquet

I didn’t know such a thing existed till I saw it on Chasing Fireflies (show that blog some love!). A fun version of croquet with less chances of getting hurt.

An inflatable pool fountain

Because every summer deserves one that doesn’t empty out your wallet!

Would you try any of these?
